The second generation Audi RS7 to launch in India next month
The RS7 is the sportier avatar of the A7, and as per the Head of Audi India, many more RS models could be introduced in the Indian market
The ballistic Audi RS7 will land on Indian shores by the next month, and the Audi sportback has been teased on the official Audi India website and on their instagram and twitter handle. The RS7 has the looks, the performance numbers, now all we have to do is wait for the launch which is not very far away (if someone from Audi India wants us to test drive the vehicle, we would be totally okay with that).

The RS7 is based on the A7 sedan, but because of how rebellious it is, it shares only the low silhouette, the bonnet, front doors and boot lid with the A7, the rest of it is all new. The RS7 has a very aggressive looking front fascia, and we also see the matrix trapezoidal LED headlights, a black honeycomb grille and massive air dams which just further accentuates its sporty nature. The overall body appears to be wider than the A7, and the RS7 rides on a set of 21 inch rims (a 22 inch option could also be provided) If this was not sporty enough, the rear sports a large blackened diffuser which houses the dual exhausts, which will release the sweet yet loud notes. I feel the need to mention that this is a 4 door vehicle, which means that you could take the family along with you, do a little bit of grocery shopping and you could do all this while driving along in a performance vehicle, how awesome is that!
As for the interior of the vehicle, the cabin feels very modern with a dual touchscreen display (which is used as the infotainment display and the climate control), the digital instrument cluster, the suave metallic pedals, and on top of this, the cabin has been made plusher with the Alacantra trim.
The RS7 is a handsome and aggressive looking vehicle with a sportingly loud exhaust note. On the other hand, the ones who are fortunate enough to drive this vehicle, they could expect to turn a lot of heads when they take their RS7 out for a drive.
Powertrain
Now let’s get down to business and talk about the engine, which brings this fire breathing vehicle to life. The RS7 will be powered by a V8 4.0-litre twin-turbo petrol engine which is paired with a 48V mild-hybrid system. This engine will produce a total of 600 ps and a massive 800 nm of torque, and the V8 motor is coupled with an 8 speed automatic transmission. Thanks to the Audi Quattro AWD, power is sent to all 4 wheels and Audi claims that the sportback can accelerate from 0-100 in a quick 3.6 seconds, making this a very fast sedan.
Pricing
Now this is the stinger, hot looking performance vehicles like these are often attached with pocket burning price tags, and with this vehicle, expect prices to soar above the 1.7 crore mark. A vehicle of its capabilities would probably compete with vehicles such as the Mercedes Benz AMG GT-R and C63 Coupe, the BMW 8 Series Gran Coupe and 5 Series M5 Competition.
