BMW launches limited edition 740Li M Sport Individual

The luxury sedan is priced at ₹1.43 crore ex-showroom and comes with a host of exclusive features that make it distinctive compared to the standard 7-Series.

BMW has launched a new limited edition model of its flagship 7 Series sedan. Dubbed as the Individual 740Li M Sport edition, this version does come with a plethora of individualisation options and M-specific upgrades. The sedan will be available in two colours – Tanzanite Blue and Dravit Grey. Both these colour options get Nappa leather upholstery with the choice of Mocha and Black stitching. BMW will manufacture the Individual 740Li M Sport locally at the automaker’s Chennai plant. The limited-edition sedan is priced at ₹1.43 crore (ex-showroom, India).

The special edition BMW 7-Series sedan gets a host of exclusive features that make it distinctive compared to the standard 7-Series. In terms of looks, the BMW Individual 740Li M Sport Edition comes with a sportier look compared to the regular 7 Series sedan, along with features like Adaptive LED headlights with laser technology.

The dynamic stance of the limited-edition sedan gets aerodynamically optimized bodywork elements of BMW’s M Sport exterior kit as standard. The whole frame sits on special BMW Individual 20-inch light-alloy wheels V-spoke style 628, painted in bi-colour. There’s also an option of 20-inch M light-alloy wheels Star-spoke style 817 M. It also gets 50:50 Weight Distribution, Dynamic Damper Control and Adaptive 2-Axle Air Suspension.

The Individual 740Li M Sport’s cabin comes with a BMW Individual emblem which gives its distinction over the standard BMW 7 series sedan. The interior comes with several customisation options, including an Alcantara headliner in Ivory White and Canberra Beige highlights, Nappa leather upholstery. Additionally, the new fine-wood trim with wooden inlays on the roof handles clasp, rear seat belt clasp and rear-centre armrest cup holder elevates the luxury of the cabin.

The sedan comes with other standard premium features like ambient lighting, ambient air package, a panoramic glass roof, four-zone automatic climate control, electrically adjustable comfort seats with massage function and seat ventilation. The dash area flaunts two 10.2-inch full-HD touch displays, which is complemented with BMW Live Cockpit including 3D Navigation and gesture control, wireless smartphone connectivity, wireless phone charging pad, and more.

For rear-seat entertainment, BMW also offered two 10.2 inch full-HD touch displays with a Blu-ray player, along with a 7-inch tablet integrated into the centre armrest, which comes with BMW Touch Command. The entertainment package also includes a 16-speaker Harman Kardon Surround Sound System.

BMW 740Li M Sport edition also comes with a raft of safety features like lane departure warning, lane return function, rear collision warning, cross-traffic warning, lane control assistant, parking and reversing assist, six airbags, cornering brake control, dynamic traction control, and more.

The luxury offering from the Bavarian brand is powered by BMW’s 3.0-litre, in-line six-cylinder engine with TwinPower Turbo technology. The power unit churns out 340 bhp and a peak torque of 450 Nm at 1,500 – 5,200 rpm. For transmission, the engine comes mated to an 8-speed Steptronic Automatic unit. The sedan can sprint from 0 to 100 kmph in 5.6 seconds. It also comes with Auto Start-Stop, Eco Pro mode, brake energy regeneration, Driving Experience Control switch etc.
