It’s a date! The Mahindra XUV700 will make its global debut on August 14th
Unarguably one of the most anticipated unveils of the year will take place at 4 PM this Saturday.
Mahindra Auto has at last set a date for its upcoming XUV700’s official global debut – 14th August 2021, 4 PM. The maker has been teasing the world with the 700’s segment-first features to give us a better indication as to what the essential replacement of the XUV500 will look like.
Mahindra’s all-new flagship SUV will boast several new designing elements like new headlights with C-shaped DRLs, door handles that pop out, a new grille, taillights, alloys to name a few. To also better its chances against the likes of the Hyundai Alcazar, Tata Safari, and the MG Hector Plus, Mahindra will give the XUV700 a dual-screen layout, like what you see in the Mercedes’ of today.
Other features we know include Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, Amazon Alexa virtual assistant, ADAS, a panoramic sunroof, automatic climate control, all that jazz.
Powering the all-new SUV will be a 2.0L, 4-cyl, Stallion turbo-petrol unit churning out 200hp and a 2.2L, 4-cyl, mHawk turbo-diesel motor producing 185hp with the transmission duties being handled via MT/AT options.
There isn’t an official launch date yet, but the prices are expected to come out by October this year. Design-wise, the teaser video shows the body, but not a lot is visible.
