German Manufacturer Audi launched the facelift of its flagship luxury sedan, the A8L. It is distinct from its predecessor with a new single frame grill design with chrome bits embedded into the structure. The headlights are also redesigned with new Digital Matrix LED types, which are capable of making animations. The petrol engine options remains the same with the 3L TFSI V6 48V mild-hybrid engine, producing around 340hp and 500Nm of torque. However, the diesel option has been discontinued and will not be available with this model.
In comparison to the previous model, the vehicle now gets OLED rear-lights with unique tail signatures and angled air intakes in the front, which are placed alongside the fog lamps and outlined by chrome strips. The new headlight system of the Technology trim improves visibility and prevents glare on drivers on the oncoming traffic. The luxury limousine also comes with new 19″ dual tone alloys and a new predictive air suspension system with all-wheel steering. The interior designs have also been updated for the facelift version.
The pricing starts at Rs 1.29 crores for the Celebration edition Trim and Rs 1.57 crores for the technology trim. Bookings are already open at dealerships and on the official website for a token amount of Rs 10 lakh. Its market rivals are the Lexus LS, BMW 7 series and the Mercedes S-class with the S-Class being the rather popular of the lot.
