Maruti increases prices by up to 4.7% – Alto, WagonR, Dzire, Swift, Baleno get expensive
Maruti suzuki has officially stated via a press release that it has increased pricing of certain models by up to 4.7%.
While it has not yet been revealed as to which models are affected by the surge, we expect models like Maruti Ciaz, Baleno, S-cross, Swift, Dzire, Alto and WagonR to be affected by it. The Maruti Vitara Brezza is expected to increase its pricing with the launch of the facelift model at the delhi auto expo 2020.
Even though the price change affects sales figures, especially in the current economic scenario of India, we don’t expect sales to be much affected for Maruti’s top selling models. It is mainly because the price hike is quite truncated and hence, Maruti cars would continue to be the cheapest ones in the segment.
