Hyundai India shows signs of recovery with a 2% marginal decline.
In a rare good news for the otherwise pandemic-hit Indian auto industry, Hyundai has recorded a minor 2% decline in domestic sales for July 2020 with 38, 200 units and is showing some excellent signs of recovery.
This sales performance translates to a recovery of 98% of the July 2019 domestic sales volume when Hyundai India sold 39,010 units. This is a good growth when compared to June 2020 when it sold 21,320 units domestically.
The Director(Sales, Marketing & Service) of Hyundai Motor India Ltd. , Tarun Garg said: “With 38,200 units, July’20 domestic sales volume is 98% of July’19 domestic sales volume. This performance was driven by good customer demand for our most admired brand: the all new Creta SUV, Venue, spirited new Verna, elite i20 and Nios.”
Hyundai Motor India clocked a collective sales number of 41,300 units with 3,100 units being sold in export.
Apart from this, the South korean automaker also reports that their all-new CRETA has recorded 55,000 bookings in India since its launch in March 2020.
