Yet another Morris SUV comes to India: MG Gloster Unveiled
The Gloster gets its grunt from a 2.0 litre Twin Turbo diesel engine that, according to MG, will provide 480nm of torque 218ps of power.
MG India has been giving its customers quite a growing range of SUVs to choose from. Now, the Gloster, known on other shores as the Maxus D90 LVD, has joined MG’s line-up in what is currently the third biggest market for the brand.
The 3-row, more than 5 meter long SUV which will go against the likes of the Toyota Fortuner and Ford Endeavour will ride on 19-inch alloys and introduce a host of new features to the segment. In fact, the Gloster is dimensionally bigger than it’s competitors in this segment.
The first-in-class ADAS (Advance Driver Assistance System) will bring a number of aids including Automatic Parking Assist, Collission Warning, Lane Departure Warning, Blind Spot Detection and Automatic Emergency Braking to the driver.
Inside you will find a 12.3 inch infotainment screen with MG’s iSmart 2.0 system, and leather wrapped interior along with a 12 speaker audio system, ambient lighting, wireless charging, and more.
The Gloster gets its grunt froma 2.0 litre Twin Turbo diesel engine that, according to MG, will provide 480nm of torque 218ps of power. The power will go through an 8 speed auto gearbox, and the Gloster will offer on-demand 4×4 driving modes for offroad capabilities.
There is no official price for the Gloster, but it’s expected to be somewhere around the ₹32 lakh-₹40 lakh mark (ex-showroom). If you want to be one of the first to get your hands on a Gloster, you can pay MG ₹1 Lakh to pre-book one before launch.
