Another high perfomance Beemer hits India as BMW announces X3M India launch for August

The BMW X3 all set to launch in August end

There is not really a big market of high-performance SUV’s in India. In fact, the only choice we got until now was the Mercedes Benz GLC 43 AMG which is honestly a bummer because it’s not even the full hardcore 63 version. Apart from that, there are no options for people who want to conquer both the tarmac. Until today.

BMW has announced that the juiced-up version of their midsize SUV, the X3M will be launched in India in August-end this year. It was scheduled to launch early but the launch had to be delayed because of the COVID crisis.

Although the launch of the X3M is confirmed there is no mention of the most hardcore version of the SUV i.e. the X3M competition and will mostly not hit our shores.

Talking about the car, it’s quite similar to the normal X3 in terms of looks except the big bumpers and the blacked-out grille. It also gets the signature M badge and signature quad exhaust setup and a wide variety of colour options.

Talking about its heart, It gets fitted with a roaring twin-turbo straight 6 cylinder engine which produces a mindblowing 480 BHP and 600Nm of torque. It will sprint from 0-100 kph in a claimed 4.2 seconds the top speed is electronically limited to an impressive 250 kph which can be pushed up to 280 kph if you opt for the M Driver’s Package.

In India, the X3 M will come equipped with the likes of adaptive LED headlights, a panoramic glass roof and the BMW Display key. The SUV will also get features like gesture control, Apple CarPlay and a wireless charging pad. Buyers will also be able to spec their cars with optional interior colours and packages with contrast stitching. However, the X3 M will only get the relatively entry-level Vernasca leather seats, as compared to the higher-quality Nappa leather available on some other cars.

With no direct competitors and an attractive price of 1.1 CR for an almost 500 BHP car, it sounds like a great deal and even the market for the X3 will be very small, it will establish its dominance in that segment and rule comfortably.
