BMW 220i Sport now available in India at Rs. 37.90 lakhs!
This launch comes way too close to the A-class limo from Mercedes in India. Co-incidence? I think not!
BMW launched the all-new BMW 220i Sport variant for the Indian market. The new Beemer will be targeting first-time luxury car buyers with a slightly more affordable price of Rs. 37.90 Lakh (ex-showroom) over its standard variant which starts at Rs 40.40 Lakh. Its other two siblings, the 220i M Sport and 220d M Sport are priced at Rs 40.90 lakh (ex-showroom) and Rs 42.29 lakh (ex-showroom) respectively. This price puts it in a better position than the newly launched A200 Limousine from Mercedes.
The BMW 220i Sport is powered by a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder BMW TwinPower Turbo petrol engine which offers a power output of 198 HP and a peak torque of 280 NM. The 7-Speed Steptronic Sport automatic transmission allows the car to do a 0-100kmph in just 7.1 seconds.
The new 220i Sport comes with a host of BMW ConnectedDrive technologies along with the modern BMW Live Cockpit Plus. The 8.8-inch control display is complemented with other features like 3D navigation, a 5.1-inch interment cluster, BMW Virtual assistant, parking assistant, sport seats, ambient lighting, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto and much more.
