Tata Altroz DCA (Automatic) launched at INR 8.1 lakh

The missing link for the Altroz was an automatic transmission. This new addition could very well put Tata at the top spot again.

Tata Motors have finally launched the automatic variant of their ever popular Altroz premium hatchback. This was a long awaited update and could be a game changer for Tata’s sales figures of the Altroz which was already doing well in the market. Add that to the aggressive pricing for a dual clutch automatic at just INR 8.1 lakhs and one can see why this could be a clear option for many buyers.

The Altroz DCA is now the safest automatic hatchback in India with 5 star GNCAP rating and brings in some segment first features. These include a wet clutch with active cooling technology, machine learning, shift by wire tech, a self-healing mechanism and even auto-park lock. That is quite the offering at this segment for this price. Coming over to pricing, that is also quite reasonably priced as it is almost Rs. 2 lacs cheaper than a similarly spec’d i20. The DCA transmission is available only in the top 4 trims namely XM+, XT, XZ and XZ+. For that money you saved over the i20, you could treat yourself to a nice motorcycle or even a Versace shirt. The choice is yours!

Anyway, here’s the pricing detail for the Altroz DCA:

[one_half]XM+ DCA[/one_half][one_half_last]INR 8,09,900[/one_half_last]

[one_half]XT DCA[/one_half][one_half_last]INR 8,59,900[/one_half_last]
