Maruti Suzuki Brezza bookings open; to be officially launched on June 30th

The Brezza can be pre-booked at a cost of Rs 11,000 and the car will be officially unveiled at the end of the month.

A few weeks ago we had spy shots, and now we have the teaser for the soon-to-be-launched Maruti Brezza. Maruti have released a teaser image and a teaser video, and thanks to it we have got a small glimpse of what the car would look like, and its feature list as well. The “Vitara’ tag has been dropped from the car’s name, and the car is officially now called just the Maruti Suzuki Brezza.

For starters, the front design sees an updated grille and new LED DRLs at the front which look much more modern as compared to the outgoing model. A teaser video shows that there will be a whole host of features like a sunroof (a first for Maruti in this segment), a new dashboard, updated infotainment system and also possible variations in infotainment screen sizes, with premium variants likely getting a bigger infotainment screen, though nothing is confirmed as of right now.

Powering all this will likely be the K15 engine synonymous with Maruti’s new XL6 and Ertiga, which has mild-hybrid tech and will likely come mated to a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic which will likely be a torque converter. A CNG variant could also launch in the future, though as of now it seems like Maruti has no intention on offering it at launch.

Images of the exterior had already leaked, and the exterior design from said pictures quite definitively reveals that the front fascia has an all-new design, a new grille and new LEDs, new tail lights, new alloys and much more. The official launch is scheduled for June 30th, and bookings can be made via Maruti’s website or by visiting a Maruti showroom. Upon launch, it will compete against the likes of the Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon, Nissan Magnite and also the Brezza’s cousin car, the Toyota Hyryder.
