Jeep has teased the Meridian’s India launch

This is very likely a precursor to a mid-2022 price reveal.

Jeep has released a video on their YouTube channel showcasing the upcoming Jeep Meridian (Commander) driving all throughout the country, from the peaks of Kashmir in the north to the coasts of Kanyakumari in the south!Tha car also sported a special camo design which hid most of the design cues of the car.

The car itself was launched in August last year in South America and it is effectively just the 3-row, 7-seat version of the popular Jeep Compass. The car is quite similar in almost all aspects to the Compass, however it remains to be seen if Jeep amps up the feature set prior to the car’s launch. The off-road capabilities of the car were also shown off with great pleasure in the video!

The engine is expected to be a 2.0L 4-cylinder diesel mated to a 9-speed gearbox, the same as the international version. Apart from this teaser, not much else was revealed or made public. A price reveal as well as the feature reveal is expected by sometime in June or July of this year, so all we should do at the moment is wait it out! Rivals will be in the form of established SUVs like the Toyota Fortuner, MG Gloster and the recently-launched hot-seller Skoda Kodiaq.
