Meet AlphaTauri’s 2022 F1 contender, the AT03

The Faenza-based team have revealed their strikingly beautiful competitor for the 2022 season in all its glory.

AlphaTauri has taken the wraps off their 2022 competitor, the AT03 and boy does it look stunning! Over the course of the past few years, AlphaTauri has been on the rise with 2021 being their most successful year to date with 141 points to their name- and they’ll be hoping for similar success with the AT03.

Drivers Yuki Tsunoda and Pierre Gasly were confirmed to be staying on with the team way back in September, and are hoping for a better season than last time out. Pierre managed one podium in Baku and finished 9th in the standings with 110 points, massively out-driving the car throughout the course of the season. Yuki however struggled, scoring just 32 points and finishing 14th in the standings. This saw the team finish in P6 in the team’s standings. This is what key personnel had to say about the launch:

“I am excited to finally reveal what our 2022 Formula 1 car will look like,”

“It is a completely new era for F1 and we hope that this package will be very strong, following last year’s success.

“Once again, we have worked closely with AlphaTauri’s clothing division to launch our new car and I think we’ve managed to deliver something very special.”

-Franz Tost, Team Principal, Scuderia AlphaTauri

“This year sees a huge change to the car as, due to the new regulations, the look and design is completely different, so the team has had to start from a clean sheet of paper.

“We won’t know the true performance of the AT03 until we get it out on track at pre-season testing in Barcelona but so far, I think it looks great and I am very excited to get this new season started.”

-Pierre Gasly

“It really does look great. Of course we’ve not seen the real car on track yet, but the new shape and design are really cool, and I think the livery suits it really well and I hope everyone enjoys the launch video.”

-Yuki Tsunoda

The team is entering their third season and has already scored their first win in 2020 and a podium at Baku in 2021, and with it success seems to be coming quickly for the Italian outfit. Can Yuki and Pierre step up their game a notch and bring some glory back to Faenza? Let’s wait and watch, shall we?
