The Maruti Brezza has been spied doing the rounds for a TV advert on the streets of Gurgaon (via Rushlane), and the pictures reveal some major changes to the car prior to its imminent launch. So, let’s get straight into it!
For starters, there’s a small change to the car’s nomenclature. The “Vitara” tag has been dropped, which means the car is now just called the Maruti Suzuki Brezza. The changes most visible are on the exterior- there are new front and rear bumpers, an all-black roof and even a new grille design which houses an updated headlight design. There are also new alloys and the rear also showcases a new tail lamp design. Apart from this, there are DRLs, a small lip spoiler and elements of what seem to be matte on the bumpers.
As for the engine, it seems highly likely that the Ertiga and XL6’s engine will make an appearance replacing the existing model’s K15 engine. This engine produces 103HP/136NM of power, and could be mated to a manual and possibly a torque converter automatic as well. There’s also the possibility of a CNG version launching in the future as well.

A new infotainment system is also expected, as is a new dashboard, interior trim and more. It’s possible that the interior could take inspiration from the new Baleno, which means we could see a floating infotainment system and even a HUD feature on the car. With it, Maruti will be eager to capture the market by getting a stronghold over the SUV market and the Brezza’s rivals like the Magnite, Sonet, Nexon and others. We should hopefully get some official details by Maruti themselves in due course of time, though do expect a slight premium to be paid for the new Brezza over the previous model’s price point!
