The new 2023 Honda HR-V gets a new look, more power and updated tech!

Honda's smallest SUV has received a rework, and is built around the same platform as the Civic.

Honda has officially launched the new HR-V in the US with prices starting from $24,895 and going upto $30,195. We saw a glimpse of the car about two months ago when the exterior design was revealed, though now the interior and other elements have also come to light in detail.

On the outside, the hood is now longer and houses new wide-set LED headlights, and the overall length is increased by 9.4 inches. The grille now has a new design, and air inlets channel air around the sides of the car through the bumper, which makes the car more aerodynamic. The car rides on 17″ silver painted alloys, while the HRV Sport will get 18″ 5-spoke gloss Berlina Black wheels.

On the inside, the dashboard has been kept simple by design. The instrument panel is wide, and a honeycomb mesh is seen on the dashboard end-to-end and houses the central A/C vents well. The seats have Body Stabilizing functionality, while the rear seats are wider. A 7″ instrument panel is standard across the range, while a 7″ touchscreen is present on the LX and Sport models. A 9″ touchscreen features on the EX-L variant, and Honda Sensing is also present with each variant of the car.

The rear suspension is all-new and improves stability, while the overall wheelbase has been extended to 104.5″. All models of the HR-V are thrust forward by a 2.0L 4-cylinder engine which produces 158HP/187NM of power, and this is mated to a CVT gearbox. There is also realtime AWD, hill descent control and various driving modes like Normal, Eco and Snow which make driving easy.
