2022 Maruti Brezza launched at INR 8 lakhs

All new Brezza is being offered only in a petrol engine option with a host of features.

After almost t lakh Vitara Brezza units sold since its launch in 2016, the Brezza was due for an update. Maruti today unveiled the brand new 2022 Brezza powered by a new K-series 1.5L dual jet engine with Progressive Smart Hybrid technology. This is paired with a 6-speed automatic offering paddle shifters. Almost INR 760 crores were spent on this new Brezza and it shows with safety features like 6 airbags, 360 view camera and Heads Up Display.

The front of the new Brezza has newer slimmer LED headlights with DRLs along with LED turn indicators. The grille is much the same as before with a thick chrome accent in the middle albeit in a different design form. The tail lights are also LED along with a smarter looking rear end. Maruti has gone with a minimalist-esque design which is not bad at all. The side profile also looks much the same but this one definitely has more presence than the one before. The tire size might set you off though as being too small!

Coming over to the interior, the new Brezza features a brand new 9 inch infotainment system – the Suzuki Connect Pro Plus, same as what we saw in the all new Baleno. The Brezza now also features an electric sunroof, Head-up display, connected car tech and even a 360 degree surround view camera for parking assist.

As for the pricing, Maruti as always went with a rather aggressive pricing option. The new Brezza starts at Rs. 8 lakhs for the LXi trim and goes all the way to the top with the ZXi+ AT trim at 13.96 lakh. Here’s the trim-wise pricing:

The all new Brezza goes head to head with the recently facelifted Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV300 and the likes. The upcoming Toyota Hyryder is also supposed to be based on this new Brezza but is likely to be bigger and be off-road capable.
