Tata Motors roll out their 50,000th EV off the production line

With almost 80% of the 4-wheeled EV market share, Tata truly took the first mover advantage by offering a well made and reliable EV based on their indigenous EV technology.

Tata Motors have rolled out the 50,000th EV from their Pune factory in the form of a Nexon EV as they celebrate another year of leading the 4-wheeled EV segment in India. With almost 80% of the 4-wheeled EV market share, Tata truly took the first mover advantage by offering a well made and reliable EV based on their indigenous EV technology. India has embraced the EV revolution started bay Tata Motors and this has driven them more towards this goal.

According to Tata Motors, a favorable policy environment, positive word of mouth from existing customers, practical product options, better ride and handling and attractive cost of ownership have helped the Company achieve this feat ahead of its target. Tata currently offers 3 EVs in India – the Nexon EV, Tiago EV ad the Tigor EV with the Tiago EV being the most affordable proper 4 wheeled EV in the country. Tata are expected to launch the Altroz EV next year as well and start their transition into the next generation of their EVs as most brands could potentially start rolling out their first generation EVs.
