Video teaser! Mercedes AMG Formula 1 team fires up the W14
Expectations are at their peak from the Mercedes team after a not so good 2022 season with the W13.
The Mercedes AMG Petronas Formula 1 team have shared a glimpse into the first start of the W14, their upcoming racecar for the 2023 season. The Mercedes team are sitting on a peak expectation pyramid for the 2023 season after their star driver and 7-time world champion Lewis Hamilton had a winless 2022. In fact, Hamilton has not had a win since the 2021 Abu Dhabi GP fiasco was taken away from him denying him a record breaking 8th world title. The Mercedes team had a mediocre 2022 season wherein they could only capitalize on the mistakes of RedBull and Ferrari without having enough performance in their W13 racecar to allow theur top drivers to take a win. Mercedes did figure out the issue within the car and are expected to change the gamme in 2023 with a full on domination. But, with RedBull’s extremely dominating 2022, Ferrari’s change of team principal to bounce back even better after having a considerably faster car in 2022 than Mercedes, the pressure is on for the Silver Arrows. Will they deliver, time will tell!
