Tata officially unveils pictures for Tiago, Tigor and Nexon facelifts – Bookings now open
It was just 2 days ago when we saw the leaked pictures of the brochures for the facelifted versions of the Tiago, Tigor and Nexon. And voila! Tata has officially unveiled pictures for the facelift trio. So, whats new in these. The pictures show the newly designed grills with the Y-shaped patterns. The headlights are also new in all the 3 cars which are now sleeker and more in line with the Impact design 2.0.
Moreover, the Nexon now gets a redesigned front bumper with Y-shaped patters at the bottom. The Nexon is also very similar looking to the recently unveiled Nexon EV with even the same alloy wheel design. The Tigor is updated with integrated DRL’s surrounding the fog lamps. Interestingly, the Tiago’s redesigned headlights do not look like projectors which is a downgrade from the current gen Tiago which had projectors in the top end trims.
Mechanically, the cars are almost the same. The Tiago/Tigor’s 1.2 liter 84HP petrol motor has been updated for BSVI norms while the 1.05 liter diesel power train, as we knew earlier, has been axed. Although, the Nexon will continue to be offered in 2 engine options. The 1.2 liter turbo petrol and the 1.5 liter diesel engine will now be BSVI compliant. Does it make any difference in the driving dynamics of the car? This can only be answered after a comprehensive drive of the cars.
But, if you’re someone who has driven and owned or drive any one of these before and you feel that they suit your lifestyle, we reckon it won’t be much different with the face lifts as they are going to offer even more features. The Nexon’s prices are expected to rise while the Tigor and Tiago prices may not be very different. The bookings are officially open for a sum of Rs. 11000.
