New Honda BRV revealed! Honda’s newest SUV to rival Creta, Seltos, Taigun and Kushaq

Honda has finally released it's vision for an ideal MPV and SUV combo, expected to replace the existing BR-V in Indonesia. Coming to India soon?

The Honda BRV (previously codename N7X) has been officially launched by Honda through a live event on their YouTube channel.

As can be seen in the event, the car is Honda’s take at the SUV/MPV market. The car has been revealed via a live event in Indonesia for the Indonesian market, though no plans for an Indian launch have been discussed yet.

The car has similar specifications to the 5th generation City, sharing the overall platform. The engine has a power output of (120HP/145NM), quite powerful indeed!

The car looks like it’s here to make a statement, with a bold and somewhat muscular design. DRL’s housed on the front make the car look visually sleek, and the rear seems quite similar to the City, with similar-looking tail lights. The 17″ alloys are also appealing visually, with all-black wheel arches making the car ready to tame whatever’s thrown at it.

Honda proudly showed off the safety features and driver aids of the car, which they call “Honda Sensing”. Features like Collision Brake Mitigation System, Road Departure Mitigation, Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keep Assist and Auto High Beam are just some of the measures put in place to aid the driver while driving. Remote engine start and auto lock are also presnt in the car.

The interior has also been specced out, Honda ensuring comfort for occupants of all 3 rows. 12V power outlets have also been provided across the car, and a 7″ touchscreen infotainment system as well. A 4.2″ display on the dash helps provide the driver with various sorts of information, like fuel consumption, travel mileage, and even the Honda Sensing feature set.

The car will be available in Honda’s usual 3 variants, namely E, S and V. The top of the line V variant will also get a CVT option, which is also the only variant with the “Honda Sensing” feature.  Pricing has not yet been been revealed, and an India launch has not yet been confirmed. Despite that, the second generation of the BR-V is finally here, and it’s exciting, that’s for sure!
