The T-Roc was only introduced in India in March, and it's already sold out
Whether you believe it or not, Volkswagen has announced that they have closed bookings for their popular coupe-style SUV, the T-Roc. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, deliveries to customers had been delayed, and post relaxation of lockdown restrictions, the car has been sold out, said the carmaker in a press release.
The T-Roc was only Launched in India in March, starting from 19.99 lakhs in India.
“We are thrilled with the response received for our carlines – T-Roc and Tiguan Allspace. It is a testament of customer acceptance on our SUVW offensive strategy.” Volkswagen Passenger Cars India Director Steffen Knapp said.
“Keeping this momentum, we are excited as we prepare for our next big SUV – the Volkswagen Taigun. To be launched in 2021, the Taigun is aligned with our brand philosophy of building premium accessible cars,” He added.
The SUV is built on Volkswagen’s modular transverse matrix (MQB) platform, powered by a 1.5litre EVO TSI engine mated to a 7-speed DSG transmission, which churns out 148hp and 250Nm. There’s even active cylinder-technology.
