Audi updates the S5 Sportback for 2021; starts at INR 79.06L
Rivals the very-talented BMW M340i and the sexy-looking Mercedes-AMG C43 Coupe.
2021 seems to be the year of facelifts, so far. Audi India has launched the updated version of its S5 Sportback which can be had from INR 79.06L (ex-showroom, India). The facelifted version gets revised exteriors, as well as some changes on the inside and more tech.
There is now a new front bumper up for grabs, as is a revised, single-frame grille with new Matrix LED headlights and LED DRLs. At the back, new taillights and some minor changes to the rear bumper can also be witnessed. Additionally, you also get a set of brand-new 19-inchers.
On the inside, there isn’t much to differentiate the current-gen S5 Sportback from its pre-facelift version except for the all-new 10.1-inch touchscreen replacing the old MMI display. The S5 Sportback also is home to Audi’s updated 12.3-inch Virtual Cockpit.
The feature-rich S5 Sportback has Alcantara leather upholstery, a panoramic sunroof, powered front sport seats, ambient lighting, and 3-zone climate control while also receiving an optional HUD, a 19-speaker Bang & Olufsen audio system, and a parking assist system.
On the engine front, the 2021 S5 Sportback continues with the 3.0L, turbo-petrol, V6 motor producing 354hp and 500Nm of torque which comes mated to an 8-speed auto and the Quattro system. As for its competitors, as mentioned above, the Audi S5 Sportback lines up against the recently-launched BMW M340i and the Mercedes-AMG C43 Coupe.
So then, which will it be? I will take the M340i.
