Ford delays the 2021 Bronco!
Don't be surprised, it is because the Bronco has exceptional demand.
After a gap of 25 years, Ford’s hugely-capable Bronco is blessing the world with its presence this year. The hype is so huge that Ford is finding it difficult to keep up with the demand. According to The Detroit News, Ford has, so far, received 125,000 orders, already.
One of the reasons for the delay is an optional roof or two, which, unfortunately, exceeds Ford’s expectations, and this means that the customers who all vouched for a new Bronco, may now have to wait until next year to receive their Bronco(s).
Important to add here is that the delay in the production of a respective model isn’t new in Ford’s dictionary as it also had to compensate the Mach-E’s buyers over production delays. Maybe The Blue Over is looking at a similar scheme to somehow please the potential buyers and keep them true to the Ford brand.
Mark Grueber, Ford’s Consumer Marketing Manager, says that “the demand has just been overwhelming. We’re very excited and pleased with the conversion rate and very humbled in terms of the demand that’s out there. So, now we’re just focused on trying to get these customers their Broncos as soon as possible.”
To those who need a gentle reminder, the Bronco is Ford’s answer to the Jeep Wrangler and is also responsible for taking off-roading for Ford, into a new era. And with the pricing of its base-spec, millions of people are looking forward to owning a Ford Bronco.
Being an immediate rival to the Jeep Wrangler should also mean that the Ford Bronco is capable, and powerful, enough to get out of a difficult situation with ease and so, Ford is supplying the 2021 Bronco with a 2.3L, EcoBoost, 4-cyl motor making 270hp and 310 lb-ft of torque. Should you require more power, and more off-roading capabilities, you can also have a go at Ford’s optional, 2.7L, turbo V6 with 310hp and 400 lb-ft.
Production of the 2021 Bronco is expected to start next week, and Ford thinks it is still on track to deliver them by June, as was previously planned. Well, that only time will tell, but it seems like Ford is betting big on the Bronco as it has reportedly increased its investments with the suppliers.
