This car will take on the likes of Fort Endeavour, Toyota Fortuner, Skoda Kodiaq, VW’s new Tiguan Allspace and Mahindra Altruras G4 in India. Globally, the rivals for the Maxus D90 include models such as Jeep Grand Cherokee and Land Cruiser Prado.

The Gloster will be available in both six and seven seater variants. The vehicle has a dominating presence spanning over five metres in length. The wheelbase of the model is 2,950mm. With this dimension, the cabin space is not concerning at all. The overall dimensions of the model are 5005 x 1932 x 1875 mm (LWH). So, let’s just be rest assured that this model is nothing short of a beast ready to roar!

The model comes with 2.0 liter twin-turbo Diesel engine which is developed with the brand’s in-house FCA’s 2.0 Multijet II as the base. The power provided by this engine is 218 bhp along with a torque of 480Nm. The only transmission available for this model will be an 8-speed automatic transmission.

On the other hand, the global counterpart of this model (Maxus D90) is equipped with a 2.0 liter four-cylinder turbo petrol engine that provides a power of 217 bhp along with 350Nm of torque. The Maxus D90 is available with both AWD and RWD. Both of these formats are configured to support 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission.

The exterior of the model comes with panoramic sunroof, full-LED headlamps, multi-way adjustable front seats, three zone climate control, and other features. This SUV is expected to be one that provides complete value for money. Considering the features and looks, there’s no way it won’t be turning heads on the road!

Finally, coming to the safety rating, the Maxus D90 was globally revealed at Guangzhou International Motor Show in 2016 and received a 5-star NCAP (Australian) rating. Therefore, now it’ll be an interesting wait until the safety ratings for the MG Gloster are revealed!

MG Motors plans to showcase around 14-15 products at the Auto Expo 2020. This array of models include MPVs, Sedans, SUVs, and crossovers. Even the Electric Vehicles are a part of the list. It goes without saying that MG Motors will be one of the greater highlights of the event.
