Maruti revealed the new Brezza in the Auto Expo 2020 and now the day is approaching when the face lifted model will be launched for purchase. However, certain sources have confirmed that the bookings for this model (petrol Brezza) will start at a price of INR 11,000 within the upcoming days.
The new model is BS6 compliant and has 2 transmission options along with 4 trims. The customers have the option to make a choice between a 5-speed automatic and 5-speed manual transmission. Knowing the Indian market, especially fans of the company, they will mostly opt for the manual transmission. The four trims of the model are LXi, ZXi, VXi, and ZXi+. The automatic version of this model will not be manufactured with the entry-level LXi trim.
The 2020 Brezza comes with a 1.5-litre K-series petrol engine (BS6 compliant). This engine will be able to provide a power up to 77kW / 104PS along with a maximum torque of 138 Nm. The mileage of the petrol variant will be 17.03kmpl when coupled with the manual transmission. On the other hand, when coupled with the automatic transmission, the mileage provided will be 18.76 kmpl (with an additional Smart Hybrid Tech).
The colour options provided for this model include a dual-tone colour scheme and the metallic colour scheme. Metallic colour schemes usually refer to the standard single-tone colour options. The single-tone options of the model include Premium Silver, Pearl Arctic White, Autumn Orange, Granite Grey, Sizzling Red, and Torque Blue. The dual-tone options of the model are Blue with Black, Red with Black, and Grey with Orange.
The internal assessment conducted by the company suggests that the waiting period initially will be somewhere between 6 to 8 weeks, however, it does heavily depend on the chosen variant and the demand of it in the market.
