Genesis reveals the all new G80

The G80 is based on the brand’s “Athletic Elegance” design philosophy. It features a crest grille and Double-Lined Quadlamps which is inspired by the Brand’s logo.

Genesis recently unveiled the third-gen iteration of the G80 as a mid-size executive luxury sedan. Genesis is Hyundai’s luxury car brand and it has been doing decently well in establishing itself as premium. The company aims to offer German level of luxury at a much lower price point. Hyundai had earlier set a vehicle line only with the Genesis but, their marketing team suggested that a new luxury moniker would suit people better since, let’s be honest… you won’t pay THAT much for a Hyundai. If it sounds similar then, it’s cause Lexus was a similar story to Toyota.

The car features an iconic parabolic line starting from the front end and ending at the rear. This is reminiscent of cars of the past. The A-pillar is made thin to provide better road visibility. The new Genesis sits on 20-inch wheels and is based on the advanced platform and will come with an all-new power train and features. On the inside, it features a 14.5-inch infotainment display and comes with Advanced Driver Assistance System (A”DAS”)

Apart from the design details and some info on the interiors, the company has decided to reveal the engine options and other insights at a later stage. What we can tell from the design is it takes a lot of inspiration from the GV80 SUV which was unveiled recently. And, that’s not a bad thing. It looks quite good.
