Maruti Sukuzi hits global markets with the S-PRESSO

And its big news for Maruti! Maruti Suzuki India has initiated the process of exporting its S-PRESSO to global markets. The model was both conceptualized and designed for the Indian market in India itself. However, now several units of the model have left for certain regional markets of Latin America, Asia, and Africa.

[dropcap]T[/dropcap]he Managing Director and CEO of Maruti Suzuki India, Mr. Kenichi Ayukawa, said “S-PRESSO is a true symbol of Make in India. The car stands testament to our commitment to offer best in design, technology, and safety to our customers both locally and globally”.

Additionally, Mr. Ayukawa said that the model is being highly appreciated by the domestic consumers of India and the company is confident that it will be appreciated in a similar way in international markets as well. Maruti Suzuki is aiming to launch the S-PRESSO for several new markets.

While it was not critically acclaimed as high as some of other Maruti models, the S-PRESSO climbed its way to the country’s top 10 best-selling cars the same month that it was launched. Over 35,000 units of the model have been sold to domestic consumers since the time. It was unveiled to the audience in September of 2019.

The S-PRESSO comes with features such as dashboard accents, spacious interiors, bold front fascia, ample space, and single aperture headlamps. These features have truly been a hit amongst Indian customers. Not only are these being appreciated, but customers are also appreciating the active pickup, great visibility on roads, and the excellent seating positions.

The model, S-PRESSO, was developed to meet the needs of the younger demographic who have a knack for dynamic and stylish cars. Although, the “millennials” are also being skeptical about the safety standards owing to a sub-standard build quality of the car. While, it is done to cut costs and provide a 4-wheeler at an affordable price, the safety standards sacrifice doesn’t seem worthy of it. Global NCAP has also urged Maruti Suzuki India to up its safety game and the upcoming car exports might just push Maruti towards it!
