Honda has just announced the launch of the new Honda Amaze, with prices starting at Rs 6.32 lakh. The car brings with it some welcome bodywork additions, such as a new grille, C-shaped tail lights, and also projector headlamps with LED DRL’s. The interior has been decked out as well, with a new premium feel to the interior, along with a revamped infotainment system, which Honda calls DigiPad 2.0. Automatic climate control has also been added to the car.
Mechanically, the car carries over from the previous-generation Amaze, with a 90hp engine and both a 1.2L petrol and 1.5L diesel variant. Honda has also carried over its usual 3 trims for the car, namely the base E trim, mid-range S trim and the top VX trim. There is also an option between a manual and a CVT gearbox available in the S and VX trims.
Honda has also kept safety in mind, with dual airbags across all variants. The car also has been made with the ACE body structure, which ensures a high level of safety. The car is also spacious, and has 420L of boot space. There are also other features to increase the driver’s peace of mind, such as ABS and EBD, hands-free telephone via the infotainment system, an in-built media player, wireless charging station to name a few.
This variant of the Amaze is likely to be a welcome addition, and the features it brings in comparison to its dated and outgoing predecessor are surely going to be very well-received. Pre-booking prices are yet to be confirmed, but the car’s pricing is expected to be between Rs 6.5-11 lakh (ex-showroom).
