Tata Motors sold over 76,000 cars in January!

In doing so they recorded a gain of 27% over January 2021.

Tata Motors has released a statement regarding sales in the month of January 2022, and they’ve done quite well! They released figures for both cars and heavy vehicles (trucks and buses) individually, and they’ve seen an increase in both compared to January 2021! Here are the figures:

Category Jan 2022  Jan 2021 % change
Total Domestic Sales 72,485 57,649 26%

PV EV 2,892 514 463%
Total PV Domestic 40,777 26,978 51%

Considering their only dip was in the cargo and pickup market and that too by only 3%, Tata has had a great January in terms of sales! Another thing of note is the fact that their exports were up 66%, which is incredibly promising for their future. EV sales were also on the rise, and saw a 463% increase in comparison to 2021!

Their recent launches include the Tata Tigor and Tiago iCNG and the Safari Dark edition. A boost in sales is welcome news as Tata looks toward the future, and expanding their EV business as well. With this, Tata enters February riding on a wave of new momentum, and will certainly be hoping for similar success in the future!
