Toyota has launched the GR-S Fortuner in India with a single but decked-out variant at a price of 48.43 lakh INR. It comes with a 2.8L diesel engine which produces 202HP/500NM of power and is paired to a 6-speed automatic gearbox. 4WD is also standard, and the suspension has been tuned as per GR standard.
The changes on the outside are almost all cosmetic by nature- there’s a new front and rear bumper, a new grille, all-black wheels and a sporty body kit as well. This carries on to the inside, with GR-specific stitching, instrument cluster and also a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and necessary creature comforts like an 8″ touchscreen infotainment system are standard, as are 7 airbags. GR badging is present both inside and on the exterior of the car as well. Features like LED foglamps and drive modes such as Eco, Sport and Normal also exist to allow for more control in the hands of the driver.

It is available in two colour schemes- Attitude Black and White Pearl Crystal Shine. It sits in a bit of a unique spot price-wise, having no actual competitors apart from the MG Gloster and Alturas G4 the likes of which are also priced in a lower bracket as compared to the GR-S Fortuner.
