Kia has officially launched the EV6 in India at a price of 59.95 lakh INR, and has been launched in two variants, which are the GT Line AWD and RWD. Kia only brought 100 units to India, though the amount of bookings has already gone above 355, which has prompted Kia to bring more units to fulfil this extra demand. The car is coming to India as a CBU, and deliveries will start from September.
The EV6 is of course, an EV! It is powered by a 77.4kWh battery pack which produces 227HP/350NM of power in the RWD variant and 323HP/605NM in the AWD variant. 0-100 takes just 7.3 seconds in the RWD and 5.2 seconds in the AWD.
The biggest wow factor here is the range- Kia Motors say that an estimated 528KM of journey can be had on a full charge! The EV6 also supports fast charging thanks to the battery pack supporting charging speeds upto 350kWh with the help of a fast charger, which can charge the car from 10% to 80% in a matter of just 18 minutes!
The EV6 looks sharp on the outside, with a more futuristic approach to design and styling. The rear of the car sees both tail lights connected via a light strip, while the headlamps look “angry” and give the car an aggressive stance. Features on the inside include a sunroof, Meridian speaker sound system, 12.3″ touchscreen and more. In terms of safety, 8 airbags are standard, as are features like ADAS and various driver aids. Here’s the price list:
Kia EV6 GT Line RWD: 59.95 lakh INR
Kia EV6 GT Line AWD: 64.95 lakh INR
