The 2022 Ford Everest (Endeavour) is here!

Loaded with tech and features, the Everest is better than before or to put it another way, bigger is most certainly better!

The next-gen Ford Everest, commonly known in India as the Endeavour has been unveiled globally and it sure is a looker! Ford has used a simple design philosophy while making the car- add more features while adding more space! The new Everest is quite significantly larger than its outgoing predecessor, though that was spied a while back.

Design-wise, the new Everest is now more boxy by design as compared to its predecessor though still retains the commanding presence which made the car so popular all over the world. It now has C-shaped headlights with LEDs and also a bold rear end with vertically placed L-shaped taillights which are connected by a black strip. This overall large size should provide for a smooth and spacious ride at the same time!

On the inside, there is a 12″ display that sits vertically and has Ford’s SYNC 4A system installed onboard. To be quite honest it’s less of a display and more of a TV; it’s enormous- just have a look at it! Apart from that, there is also a sunroof, ventilated seats, Ford’s connectivity systems, a cooled glovebox, USB ports on all rows, 10-way adjustable front seats and more, though the feature list obviously varies across variants. Safety has also been given importance, with 9 airbags available, and along with it, there is also hands-free parking, cruise and stability control and more.

As for the mechanical aspect of the car, there is an option between a 2.0L 4-cylinder bi-turbo diesel and a 3.0L V6 turbocharged diesel both of which are mated to a 10-speed automatic gearbox. There is also talk of a petrol variant and a manual gearbox coming on offer in the near future, though at the moment nothing has been confirmed and any updates about the same should come from Ford themselves in the not so distant future.

As for the car coming to India, it would be a slight inconvenience given how the carmaker has left India completely! That’s not to say that it’s impossible to sell the car in India, for Ford had said that they would continue to sell CBUs in India even after ceasing their production here. You can read about it in more detail by clicking here.
