2021 Range Rover and Range Rover Sport India Prices revealed

While the Range Rover Sport gets a single body style, the big daddy Range Rover is available in both standard and long-wheelbase versions.

If there’s a capable luxury SUV on your shopping list, you are probably considering a Range Rover, And if your shopping list also includes an oil-well, you are probably looking at the top of the range Range Rover. Well, unless you’re buying an SUV for your not-so-good-looking son in which case, you’re probably looking at the Range Rover Sport, so he can get some attention from the girls when he goes to the club.

Right, now that you’ve considered all the rivals and settled on the Range Rover and Range Rover Sport (because why would you not, it’s a Range Rover!) you’ll be delighted to know that the Indian, erm, the British carmaker has revealed the official prices for the 2021 Range Rover and Range Rover Sport models.

While the Range Rover Sport gets a single body style, the big daddy Range Rover is available in both standard and long-wheelbase versions. Both the cars get a petrol engine option in the form of a 2.0litre, four-cylinder in the case of the Range Rover Sport and a 3.0litre six-cylinder in the Range Rover. There is also a new 3.0litre inline-six diesel available on both models.

The Range Rover Sport Petrol starts from ₹88.24 Lakhs and comes in three variants, the top variant costing ₹1.01 Crore. If you want to go for the Diesel variants, you have a choice between Seven, which range from ₹1.08 Crore to ₹1.72 Crore, The latter cost for the fully loaded Autobiography Dynamic variant available only with a diesel engine.

Prices for The 5.0litre Supercharged V8 version called the SVR prices have not been officially announced for the Range Rover yet.

The flagship of the carmaker, The Range Rover is available in standard wheelbase with petrol and diesel variants both priced at ₹1.97 crores. On the other hand, the long-wheelbase version is available in seven variants, including the limited-edition Westminster, Westminster Black and Range Rover Fifty variants. Prices for petrol and diesel LWB models range from ₹2.11 crore for the entry-level Vogue variant all the way up to ₹4.09 crore for the big-daddy-of-big-daddies SV Autobiography variant.

The Range Rover Sport shares its petrol engine with the upcoming Land Rover Defender. It is a 2.0litre, 4-cylinder, turbocharged powerhouse that makes 300hp and 400Nm of torque. This engine can take the Range Rover Sport 0-100kph in just 7.3 seconds and all the way up to a top speed of 201kph.

The Range Rover is powered by a 3.0litre Ingenium six-cylinder turbo-petrol which churns out 400hp and 550Nm of torque and can take the Range Rover from 0-100kph in 6.3 seconds and on to a top speed of 225kph.

The 3.0 litre in-line six is a brand new option shared by both the Sport and its eldest brother. It churns out 300 horses and 650Nm of torque. The engine also features a 48V mild-hybrid setup and is said to be a smoother and more refined engine than previous iteration diesels.

Bookings for the 2021 Range Rover and Range Rover Sport models are now open across dealerships and on Land Rover India’s online site. Deliveries are expected to begin in late 2020.
