Skoda’s mid-segment sedan, the ‘Slavia’, will have two turbo-petrol variants

The car will be very similar to it's upcoming VW cousin, the Virtus.

The Skoda Slavia’s specs have been revealed by the company, and they are somewhat interesting to note as well.

We already know, the car will be a part of the company’s India 2.0 program, and the car is built on the MQB-A0-IN platform as well, just like the Kushaq.

Though the design is still hidden under a layer of camouflage, the dimensions of the car are known now. They are:

  • Length: 4541mm
  • Width: 1752mm
  • Height: 1487mm
  • Wheelbase: 2651mm

Skoda has said that the car will be similar to the Kushaq in terms of interior space, and hence will be quite spacious. The two engine options are:

  • 1.0L 3-cylinder petrol (115HP)
  • 1.5L 4-cylinder petrol (150HP)

Both engines will get the same 6-speed manual gearbox as standard. The automatic options differ on both though- The 1.0L will get a 6-speed torque converter, while the 1.5L will get a 7-speed DSG. More details should be revealed over time, when the car is officially unveiled towards the end of November. It’ll be an exciting prospect for Skoda, that’s for sure!
