Audi India has registered a steady growth of 29% year-to-date 2022. It delivered 2947 new cars in the first nine months compared to 2291 units in the same period last year. This growth is surprising considering Audi had to suffer severe supply and availability challenges. The Audi Approved: plus saw a growth of 73% year-to-date (YTD). The latest launches that include the new Audi A8 and Audi Q7 have also seen a strong demand among customers.
The most recent launch Audi Q3 has also gotten a positive response whose deliveries begin at the end of the year. There is is a strong order bank for the product range in H2 2022Head of Audi India, Mr. Balbir Singh Dhillon, said, “Our performance in the first nine months has laid the foundation for a positive performance in the remainder of the year. Robust growth, despite the semiconductor shortage and global supply-chain issues reiterates the customers’ enthusiasm around the brand and our wide product portfolio”. He also claimed that they are expecting good growth on the back of sustained demand.
Audi is also focusing on the expansion of its pre-owned car business, Audi Approved: plus in India. It is operating in eighteen plus showrooms across all major hubs in the country, which is planned to expand rapidly and have twenty-two pre-owned car facilities by the end of 2022. Audi Approved: plus has grown by 73% in the first nine months of 2022.When it comes to the electrification strategy, Audi presently installed 100+ chargers across 60+ cities in India. These numbers include all Audi India dealerships, workshop facilities and select SAVWIPL Group brand dealerships located across strategic highways in the country.
