French manufacturer Citroen has launched their 2nd vehicle in India, the New C3, with a very competitive starting price of just Rs 5,70,000 (ex-showroom).
The new hatchback on the market looks absolutely dashing with its dual-tone exterior color, with the sporty skid plates all around and the funky design; A perfect car for millennials, or for people looking for a good looking fun to drive car. The diamond-cut R15 alloy wheels, with the V-shaped LED DRLs give it a rugged look. The interiors look minimalistic and clean as well, with the dual color embroidery on the seats and dashboard finishing.
It is currently available in 2 engine options:
- 3-cylinder NA 1.2L petrol engine, connected to a 5-speed manual transmission, producing 81 hp and 115 Nm of torque.
- 3-cylinder 1.2L turbo-petrol engine producing 108 hp and 190 Nm of torque, connected to a 6-speed manual transmission.
The car is based on the brand’s CMP modular platform, measuring 3981mm in length, 1733mm in breadth and 1586mm in height. The vehicle also has a good ground clearance of about 180mm with a 315 litre boot capacity.
In terms of features, the car gets all the basic details; a 10.1 inch infotainment system enabled with Android Auto and Apple Carplay, a digital instrument cluster, rear USB charging ports and 4 speakers. The car also comes with ABS with EBD, speed sensing door locks, rear parking sensors and speed alerts.
The Citroen brand is likely to give its competitors a run for their money, with their new model, which also gives a large array of customizable options to its customers. The C3 will challenge the TATA Punch, Nissan Magnite and Renault Kiger.
