Skoda reveals interior sketches of the upcoming Kushaq
Most definitely looks the part, when compared with the Creta or the Seltos.
The upcoming Kushaq SUV from Skoda is on the verge of a launch (due on the 18th of this month) and with that said, Skoda has released some of its interior sketches to give us an idea as to how its mid-size SUV will look.
As can be seen in the images, the interior looks largely similar to the Vision IN SUV Concept Skoda showed at the Auto Expo 2020. It also has some usage of the orange accents on parts of the dashboard, door panels, and the center console. A welcoming change.
Speaking of change, the steering wheel on the production-spec Kushaq will be a two-spoke unit (will take a lot of time to get used to it). Additionally, a “free-standing” touchscreen takes the infotainment system duties as it measures up to 10-inches. Skoda’s Virtual Cockpit (an all-digital instrument cluster) will offer drivers all the information required. Let me tell you, I love Skoda’s version more than what Audi offers.
The center console also boasts buttons for the HVAC unit which seems to be touch-sensitive, rather than the traditional rotary dials.
To remind you again, the Kushaq is based on VW’s MQB A0-IN platform and bears a strong resemblance to its elder siblings, the Kodiaq and Karoq. The engine list has a 1.0L and a 1.5L turbo-petrol. The 1L unit will have 110hp with a 6-speed MT/torque convertor AT, and the 1.5L unit will have 150h with an MT/DCT option.
