Tata teases an automatic version of the Altroz

It will be the first and as of now only automatic variant on Tata's premium hatchback, and is something which has been demanded since the car's launch!

Tata Motors has teased via a tweet their upcoming automatic version of the Altroz, something which consumers have been eagerly waiting for since the car’s launch back in 2019! The automatic will be a DCT by nature, and is expected to launch soon as well.

The anticipation has been high- and was expected to have a “launching soon” sticker on itself over two years ago! Sales for the Altroz have been good, with Tata reporting decent sales figures each month as well. Tata also calls it the “Gold Standard of Automatics”, which is quite a bold claim to make!

No changes are expected in the engine department, and the only difference will be the obvious gearbox and maybe some badging here and there. It is also a guess as to which variants Tata will offer this on, though logic implies that only the top-end variants will be getting the automatic as an option. This will certainly increase the appeal of the Altroz even further, and help it to compete fiercely against its main rivals the Baleno and the i20!
