Leclerc leads Ferrari 1-2 at FP2 in The Netherlands- Dutch Grand Prix FP2 Highlights!
RedBull still have not got their cards right as Yuki beaches himself in the final moments of the session
The second practice session seemed to shift in the favor of the prancing horses. Sainz initially set a benchmark of 1:13:412 on the medium tyres. His time could not be beaten by the other drivers on the track with the same tyre. However, after some laps, in came the softs.
After a few laps, Sainz improved upon his time for a 1:12:349, but was soon overtaken by his teammate who beat him by just 0.004s. Close behind them was Hamilton who is looking to redeem himself this weekend, followed by Norris and Russell. Lance Stroll was also sureprisingly quick in the session clocking P6. Alonso who finished P7 had his fair share of troubles with traffic on track and could only few flying laps, having to lift off on many corners.
It was definitely not a great day for RedBull as Verstappen was stuck in his garage for the majority of FP1 due to gearbox issues. In FP2 as well he was almost a second off of the pace as he could clock in a laptime to only grant him P8. His teammate Perez also did not look very confident with his setup as he finished P12. Apart from these, Ricciardo and Gasly too missed most of their FP2 stint due to radiator leaks and technical issues respetively.
With just 12 mins remaining on the session timer, Yuki Tsunoda parked his car on the gravel near Turn 9, causing the session to be stopped and red-flagged for a few minutes. The session was resumed but drivers could only get a single flying lap and none could improve on their times.
