Hyundai Venue facelift officially unveiled! Launch on June 16th

The updated Venue will follow in the footsteps of its siblings in the form of the Creta and Tucson in terms of looks, and will be Hyundai's answer to winning over the budget SUV segment.

Hyundai has revealed the updated and facelifted Venue for the Indian market, with a scheduled launch date of June 16th for the official reveal. Hyundai says that the new Venue will evoke a bold and premium appeal, and will have a “bold and big persona” while also having a focus on the exterior design and interior comfort.

The front fascia sees a new Dark Chrome grille, and a slightly modified split headlamp setup as compared to the older model. There are also new alloys on offer, though most of the changes are at the rear where new L-shaped tail lights, and the tail lights are connected by a thin LED strip as well which runs the width of the car at the rear. While Hyundai would claim it is a first in segment, we see a little too much resemblance to the VW Taigun.

On the inside, we could likely see a few updates to the tech onboard such as the infotainment system and also possibly a new sound system. Key will be the engine offerings- it’s entirely possible that Hyundai chooses to stick with the existing engine in the Venue, though the engine from the Sonet could be featured here.

Upon launch, it will likely slot right back into the place where the current Venue sits, and will rival the likes of the Sonet, Nexon, and also the recently spied Maruti Brezza. In an ultra-competitive market where the consumer wants more from less and fast, launching earlier than Maruti might well give Hyundai the upper hand in the budget SUV segment.
